LyftenBloggie v.1.1.0 Beta is Out0I’m happy to announce the first beta of the upcoming 1.1.0 release of LyftenBloggie. This release carries over many of the same features that were enjoyed in version 1.0.x, while dumping the more annoying ones. The new beta also offers many new features and improvements, for example improved support for third-party components such as JComment, JomComment, Gravatar, and JUser to name a few. |
Final Touches0I am currently doing the final touches on LyftenBloggie v1.1.0 Beta. For the testing portion I have created a new Joomla component, named BetaTrack, with it I will be able to list current projects that are in beta testing and allow a select number of users join as testing participants. All slots will be first-come, first-served. Participants will be allowed to download the beta version of the projects they choose to join and they will also be allowed to post bug and comment on current bugs. If everything goes well, I may fine tune BetaTrack and release it, if there is a public need for it. I'm shooting to have LyftenBloggie v1.1.0 Beta up for testing by this weekend. |

New Component in the Works0I'm trying out a new component I made for my site called LyftenFAQ. It is an easy to use FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) and product documentation management system for Joomla! 1.5. Designed to be aesthetically pleasing and simple, LyftenFAQ current only has basic functions such as Sections/Categories and Articles. It also has a unique feature called "Help from the Community" which is simply comprised of links used to direct users to different portions of the site such as to a blog or a message board. |
IE6 is Dead to Me0It's long been said that IE6 is holding back the web, and this has never been truer than it is today. Lyften.com is joining the many business and organizations have already made a stand and have stopped supporting IE6 on their sites and applications. As of January 1st, 2010, Lyften.com will no longer be creating anything that supports Internet Explorer 6. |
